Persistent Inns

Characters can rent rooms at several inns throughout the module. Rooms vary in quality and price and will grant an additional amount of healing upon resting depending upon the room’s quality. Low quality rooms grant no additional bonus but are secure. The number of hit points regained upon resting in an inn room is listed below.

• Low: No additional bonus
• Standard: 1.5x PC level
• Proper: 2.0x PC level
• Luxury: 3.0x PC level

Characters can rent by the day, by the halfweek (5 days), or by the week (10 days). Each day equates to one in-game rest cycle and not an actual game or real life day. Thus, a PC renting a room for 5 days would be able to rest 5 times within the room and gain the room’s healing bonus before the rental agreement expires.

Only a key holder of a room whose rental agreement has not expired may benefit from the inn room’s bonus. A PC who has rented a room may also lend their key to another PC to use. Each time any PC holding the valid key rests in the rented room, a day is deducted. Not more than one PC at a time can benefit from the room’s bonus and the key holder must have entered the room holding the key prior to resting to receive the bonus.

Keys can also be lost, dropped, discarded, etc. A one time deposit is required for the key itself, refunded upon return. Speak with the barkeeper or innkeeper for more information.
