Dice Bag
While the Neverwinter Nights game system automates many of the ability and skill checks during gameplay, a player may be asked by a DM to manually perform an ability or skill check to determine if a particular task or action is successful or to roll a specified number and type of dice in similar fashion to the way in which the Dungeons & Dragons table top game is played. When asked to do so, a player may access his or her “dice bag” through the Crafting Skills Radial Menu. The dice bag provides options to perform a particular ability or skill roll or to access a particular type of die (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100 dice). Through this menu, the player may also adjust how the results of his or her roll is broadcast to surrounding characters.

In addition to using the dice bag for skill and dice rolls, players may also type the following into their chat window:

|skillcheck skill_number
This will perform a skill check where skill_number is the corresponding number for the particular skill roll that is desired. For example, |skillcheck 7 will perform a Listen Check. Available skills and their corresponding numbers can be found by typing |skillslist in the chat window.

|d20
This will cause the character to roll a single die of the type indicated after the “d” (i.e. |d20 will perform a roll of 1 twenty-sided die). Available options are 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 20, and 100.

|dicebag
Should a Player close out of his or her dice bag menu, typing |dicebag in the chat window will reopen the menu.

Miscellaneous Skills
To supplement the skills available to characters in the base game system, Impiltur – the Forgotten Kingdom also includes a number of additional skills which are used in conjunction with a number of added systems. These skills function in the same manner as the base game skills and appear on the character’s Character Sheet. Characters increase these skills through the allocation of skill points upon leveling. As these skills grow, they provide bonuses to the skill rolls for the corresponding skills. All characters possess these skills upon character creation. The following skills are available:

Cartography Skill: This skill represents a character’s skill in creating maps and works in conjunction with Impiltur’s Mapping System.

Climb Skill: A number of locations exist throughout the module which can only be accessed by climbing. This skill represents the character’s ability to climb walls, ropes, etc. and is strength based.

Wilderness Lore Skill: This skill represents a character’s skill in skinning animals with the use of a skinning knife, fishing, and tracking.

Players may access their character’s current score in any of these skills through the Crafting Skills Radial Menu.
